Nick Swisher slammed 2 homeruns and had 5 RBI as the seemingly unstoppable
London Hawk Lords outscored the St. Paul Saints 10 to 2.
Swisher had a big day with his bat. He cracked a two-run shot in the 1st
inning, blasted a two-run home run (his 24th of the season) in the 3rd inning
and laced a one-base hit resulting in a run in the 5th inning. London had
many opportunities throughout the game and scored in 6 separate innings.
The winning pitcher was Dan Haren(9-5) who allowed 2 runs in 8 and 2/3
innings. Horacio Ramirez(3-5) was the losing pitcher. He served up 4
homeruns in his 6 and 2/3 innings.
No one has been able to stop London lately as they lengthened their winning
streak to 7 games. Rob Danecker held court after the contest, 'Everything is
coming up aces right now. It is important for our team to ride this wave as
long as we can. Every win is important.'
